Sunset kiss [BBxRae]

BeastBoy was bored, so very very bored, Robin was on patrol with Starfire, though somehow he doubted any “patrolling” was actually happening, Cyborg was working on the T-car and had told BeastBoy not to interrupt him as he worked on his “baby”, BeastBoy scoffed angrily, and Raven, well, who knows what Raven was doing, she had been in her room all day, as per usual.
BeastBoy walked along aimlessly as he watched his feet, he then looked up to find he was right outside Raven’s room, somehow in his state of boredom he had ended up here.
“Maybe Rae will wanna do something with me, it’s worth a try I guess.” BeastBoy said to nobody in particular as he gently knocked on her door. “Hey Rae do you wanna hang out!?!” He called, but no answer came.
“RAVEEEEN?!?!” He tried again.
“BeastBoy I’m TRYING to meditate, and my name is not “Rae”, its RAVEN!” Raven yelled as she cracked her lids open.
“Aww but Raven, I'm so bored, nobody wants to hang out with me….How about...I’ll stay quiet and let you meditate, at least I’ll have someone to be with, instead of being alone... What do you say?” Beast Boy replied hopefully.
“Fine, but you better not disturb my meditating, it's important.” Raven sighed as she used her magic to open her door. BeastBoy pretended to zip his lips showing he would be silent, and ran over and sat down next to Raven, who was in her floating lotus position near the window. Raven really hoped he could control himself and be silent for once in his life.
“Azarath Metrion Zinthos, Azarath Metrion Zinthos” Raven repeated as she returned to her meditation.

After what seemed like years of Raven just sitting there repeating the same thing over and over again, BeastBoy sighed, he was still bored, but at least he wasn’t alone, he looked around her room, he hadn’t really had a good look at it before, he couldn’t help but feel a little creeped out by its appearance, creepy bed, creepy statue things, creepy candles, creepy books, nice legs, nice smooth gray legs, that looked so soft that they begged to be touched, ugh what was he thinking, that was never going to happen, Raven didn’t even like him! BeastBoy thought sadly to himself. Well, at least he could admire them while he sat here, he had to admit that he often admired Raven’s appearance, her hair was like beautiful silk, her eyes like deep pools of purple mystery, her body smooth and curved in all the right ways, her lips soft and delicate, and it wasn’t just her appearance, sure they fought a lot, but he really liked her…..too bad she didn’t feel the same...

Raven felt uncomfortable, she could sense BeastBoy was thinking about her, and she sure didn’t like WHAT he was thinking about. She cracked her eyes open and saw that BeastBoy was staring at her, that was it, she was pissed off now, but she would play it cool.
“Okay BeastBoy I’m finished meditating now, thank you for staying quite,” Raven said coldly. BeastBoy just stared at her legs blankly, not even realizing Raven was talking to him.

“BeastBoy? BeastBoy stop staring at me!!! GET OUT OF MY ROOM, I SHOULD NEVER HAVE LET YOU STAY IN HERE!!!” Raven screamed angrily and shoved her pointer finger toward the door.
“I-I'm sorry mama. I was just admiring your...um..er..” BeastBoy fumbled as he quickly changed into the cutest puppy he could muster.
“YOU THINK TURNING INTO A PUPPY WILL SAVE YOU!?!? YOU ARE UNFORGIVABLE BEASTBOY!!!” Raven screeched once again. BeastBoy quickly changed into a cheetah and ran as fast as his cat legs could possibly take him, maybe Raven would actually kill him this time, he skidded through the Tower, and zoomed into his room, changing back to his green self and hiding under the covers, to his surprise, his evident doom never came, Raven hadn’t chased him, he sighed with relief, but then felt guilty, he shouldn’t have been thinking that way about Raven anyway, he just couldn’t help it, she really was beautiful, and he loved her, yep he did, he had realized that a year ago, the problem was, Raven didn’t love him, heck she probably hated his guts right now, he would let her cool down for a while and then go apologize, he wished that maybe someday Raven would feel the same way toward him as he did about her, it just seemed so impossible...

Raven sat on her bed, she could sense BeastBoys regret and it made her feel bad, she had over reacted, she had gone to far, she knew she should apologize, why did apologizing have to be so hard, maybe he wouldn’t forgive her, maybe these feelings toward her that she sensed from him would fade.
“Ugh you’re being a coward Raven.” She scalded herself as she stood up from her bed, and headed over to BeastBoys room. Raven arrived at his door and rose her fist to knock, but her arm stopped, she heard BeastBoy sniff. She quickly rapped on the door, hoping he would answer, then the door swooshed open revealing BeastBoy, his hair was messier than usual, and she had to admit, it looked really cute.
"W-what do you want raven?"  BeastBoy said, feeling slightly afraid that his death may have literally came knocking at his door. Raven’s heart throbbed painfully at seeing his fear, he was afraid of her…..., that wasn’t what she wanted….S-she wanted him to like her….
“I-I wanted to apologize, for overreacting, I’m sorry BeastBoy…” Raven replied, suddenly finding looking at her feet very interesting.
“It’s fine Raven, I’m sorry too, I stepped out of line…..are we good now?” BeastBoy said with a small hopeful smile.
“Yeah, we’re good.” Raven replied hiding a tiny smile. “Um..would you want to come up to the roof and watch the sunset with me?” Raven said, hoping that he would want to.
“Umm sure mama.” BeastBoy said as blushed creeped over his cheeks. Raven ignored the “mama” bit and walked up to the roof of the Tower, BeastBoy in hot pursuit. Raven gently sat down at the edge of the roof, the start of the sunset sinking into the sky, BeastBoy sat next to her and admired the sky also, he rarely watched the sunset, and wondered why, it was beautiful after all. Raven glanced over at BeastBoy, his green skin looking strangely appealing against the fiery sky, Raven felt blush consume her cheeks and quickly looked away.
“What a beautiful sunset” BeastBoy sighed.
“Yeah I always come to watch it” Raven replied with a smile, as she looked back at his face, her purple eyes becoming lost in his amethyst green ones.
“Is...is that a smile? You look so cute with a smile raven!” BeastBoy said, blushing harder than he ever had, he loved it when she smiled, it was rare, but so very beautiful, truly worth seeing.
“Err...um, thanks I guess.” Raven said, turning beet red.
“How come you don’t meditate up here? I think it's a great place.” BeastBoy asked sweetly.
“Well, sometimes you and Cyborg come up to play stankball, you're noise makes it a bit hard to concentrate.” Raven replied frowning at the thought of the dreaded game.
“Oh...sorry…” BeastBoy apologized genuinely.
“Its okay, Its your roof too.” Raven said sweetly, feeling glad he truly seemed to care. BeastBoy carefully scooted closer to Raven hoping she wouldn’t notice, she did, but she was glad, she was really enjoying this moment.
“By the way...what kind of animals do you like?” BeastBoy asked breaking the silence.
“Oh well, I suppose I like birds, ravens of course, but mostly mythical animals, like griffons, too bad they aren't real.” Raven sighed almost sadly.
“You sure about that?” BeastBoy said as he threw himself off the building and morphed into a large griffon.
“BeastBoy! I didn't know you could do that!! Since when were you able to turn into mythical creatures?!” Raven asked as she admired BeastBoy-Griffon.
“Well...um.. Hehe, last month I may have found one of your books about mythical creatures, and I kinda got zapped by the weird magic-y stuff.” BeastBoy replied as he turned back into himself and plopped down on the roof.
“Why didn’t you tell me BeastBoy? You could have been hurt, magic can be dangerous!”
“Well I didn’t wanna get in trouble for touching your book, am I gonna get in trouble now?” BeastBoy asked as he started sweating.
“You’re right, you are NOT allowed to touch my books, but no you’re not in trouble…… I’ve always wanted to see a griffon I guess, it's pretty cool.” Raven said with another smile, just a small one.
“Hey Rae, wanna go for a ride?” BeastBoy asked and morphed back into the glorious griffon. How could Raven say no, she jumped onto Griffon-BeastBoy’s back. As he flew gently through the fiery sky, Raven breathed in the fresh air, feeling it flow through her soft hair, enjoying every second.
Finally they arrived at a lovely hill with the most amazing view of the sunset Raven had ever seen. Griffon-BeastBoy gently landed, allowed Raven to hop off, and then morphed back into his green self.
“Wow BeastBoy, this is so beautiful!” She said as she gently sat down under a tree.
“I knew you’d like it!” BeastBoy said and then morphed into a cute baby griffon and snuggled into Raven’s lap. Raven petted the little griffon. ‘Who knew BeastBoy could be so...wonderful.’ She thought to herself.
BeastBoy morphed back into himself, his head now laying in her lap, Raven stroked his soft green hair, cherishing the moment immensely.
‘I wish this moment could last forever.’ BeastBoy thought to himself as he resisted the urge to purr at the feel of Raven’s touch.
“So Rae….errr I mean Raven, would you like me to change into another mythical creature?” BeastBoy asked as he turned to face her, trying not to get lost in her beautiful eyes.
Rave smiled, “Actually, I'd rather you stay you.” She said leaning down and softly kissing his warm cheek.
“R-raven what was that for?” BeastBoy asked, shocked and blushing immensely.
“Um well, I kind of like being with you BeastBoy, I want to do this more often.” Raven replied, her cheeks tinging a soft pink.
“.....So you won't mind if I do this.” BeastBoy said, putting his hand behind her head as he planted his lips on her soft grey ones, kissing her gently,  BeastBoy had heard kisses tasted like honey but he was surprised when Raven’s tasted smoky and spicy, he had to admit, he really liked it. After what felt like a millennium but what was really only a few seconds BeastBoy started to pull away, not wanting to annoy Raven, but Raven snaked her hands around the back of BeastBoys head and kissed him back softly, she wondered why she had never kissed him before, she must have been crazy!
After a few minutes, Raven pulled gently away from the tender kiss, “B-BeastBoy it’s starting to get dark, maybe we should get back to the tower, the others are probably wondering where we are.” Raven said avoiding eye contact with BeastBoy and looking positively red in the face.
“Okay Raven, but as long as you promise we’ll do this again sometime.” BeastBoy said, his expression reminding Raven of the cute puppy he often turned into.
“BeastBoy.” Raven replied, her brows furrowing, BeastBoy started to get worried, “I promise we’ll do this again.” Her look of concern growing into a sweet smile that made BeastBoys heart skip a beat. BeastBoy stood up, instantly missing the warmth from Raven’s body, “Would you like another Griffon ride?” He asked cheerfully. How could Raven say no.
“S-sure.” Raven said walking over, BeastBoy morphed into the beautiful Griffon and Raven back onto his back, of course she could always fly home herself, but where would be the fun it that! Griffon-BeastBoy took into flight, sailing over the city which sparkled with flashing lights of every color, Raven pulled her cloak tighter as the cool night air whipped around her, sending chills down her body. After a quick while they arrived at the tower and Griffon-BeastBoy landed gently on the roof, waited till Raven got off then morphed back into himself.
“Here we are Rave, home sweet home.” BeastBoy said, feeling slightly sad.
“Thanks BeastBoy, this was really fun.” Raven said, smiling once again, BeastBoy felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Raven pulled her hood up and headed to the door, BeastBoy caught up and held her hand, Raven looked up with surprise till a tiny smile graced her features. BeastBoy opened the door, light shining brightly in their faces, in the background Cyborg could be heard singing a strange song about bacon. BeastBoy laughed and then looked at Raven, slowly slipping his hand out of her’s as they headed inside, knowing they would do it again very soon.
